Basically these electrical heat shrink tubing is been made out of extruding a polymer like polyolefin with the help of a die. The most sophisticated types of heat shrink tubing might have several layers and usually the inner most layer has a meltable adhesive which is made of thermo plastic along with one or more outer layers are been chosen for the reasons of abrasion resistance, rigidity, shrink ratio, or insulation properties. No matter of how it is been made these heat shrink sleeve is most commonly been used to repair wiring, in the hood of a car and also for splicing wires during the installation of a car stereo or even other accessories. But one important thing to remember about the shrink tubing is that it requires a lot of advanced planning. In case if you are repairing a broken wire, you would need to slip the tubing over the wire before soldering it all together.
